I'm a General Partner at NZVC, New Zealand's first operator-run venture fund, and I lead our investing in Australia. We invest from pre-seed to Series B and are usually the first institutional money in.

Alongside the fund, I co-invest in leading US startups through SPVs.

I co-host TechMates Podcast with Mark Pavlyukovskyy. We talk to founders building from Australia and New Zealand.

Before NZVC

• Founders Intelligence, Berlin

  I founded and led the Berlin office of the strategy firm, then part of Founders Forum, and spent five years working between corporates, startups and investors. Accenture acquired Founders Intelligence in 2021.

• Merantix, Berlin

  I joined the leadership team of the AI venture studio and was the founding director of the Merantix AI Campus, which grew past 100 companies and 2,000 members.

• AI House Davos, Davos

  I co-founded it with the ETH AI Center and Merantix. It brings researchers, founders, executives and policymakers together on AI during the World Economic Forum.

Then I moved to Sydney and joined NZVC as a venture partner on Fund I. I'm now a General Partner on Fund II.

Why Sydney and ANZ

New Zealand and Australia remind me of Berlin a decade ago. There's the same momentum, and the same missing link between local startups and investors in North America. Founders here start with less money and fewer connections than founders in San Francisco, and most sell abroad from their first year.
